The weight of the barrel will only refer to whether the barrel is a "heavy" one or not. The heavy-barrel (HB) designation means that there is more metal there. Some of these taper at different points, either underneath the handguards or from the front sight on. The HB whose thickness does not vary (i.e. is maintained from back to front) offers the most durable design. The 16" barrels are available in a lightweight configuration, M4 profile (thin under handguards, thick outside handguards, and with a cutout to allow mounting of M203, and in a heavy barrel. For this rifle, a lightweight or M4 Gun Magazines profile offers the most advantages as far as weight and handling.

With a known target of a diameter of 16 inches that fills the entire sight picture from post to post, the range is approximately 100 yards. Other ranges can be similarly estimated accurately in an analog fashion for known target sizes through proportionality calculations. Holdover, for estimating vertical point of aim offset required for bullet drop compensation on level terrain, and horizontal windage offset (for estimating side to side point of aim offsets required for wind effect corrections) can similarly be compensated for through using approximations based on the wind speed (from observing flags or other objects) by a trained user through using the reticle marks. The less-commonly used holdunder, used for shooting on sloping terrain, can even be estimated by an appropriately-skilled user with a reticle-equipped scope, once the slope of the terrain and the slant range to target are both known.

It will still be between the two teams who are always at the top (Kyle Harrison ) However, in my opinion these two teams will be neck and neck this year as Gettysburg lost a ton to graduation, and Wac is still trying to find an offensive identity, while losing one of the best goalies in the country and thier best pole. In my opinion neither of these teams will be top tier this year, G-Burg had their shot last year, and WAC just seems to have been fading into mediocrity since the 2004 season.

Thanks and it's called the follower. I figured that I could cut the mag catch hole with my Dremel and I could probably sand down the follower as well to prevent it from breaking.

The shell-pivot thingy is attached to the pistol frame. I don't know the name of it... It helps the empty shells extract.

Wrap the sanding film around a large rubber eraser as a sanding block, and sand the scratches out, being careful to keep sharp edges sharp, and flats ripple-free.

Work down through the grits to the finer grades.

Sand slowly, and do NOT use any power equipment, since high speed abrasion will actually melt the plastic and marr it worse.

To finish up and blend everything together, you can bead blast, BUT you have to use a finer grit media and run the frame grip k smith wesson WAY down.

I recommend experimenting on scrap plastic to determine what kind of pressure you need.

The idea is to blend the the frame finish and make the sanded areas blend in, not give the plastic a rough finish.

Be warned, that unlike metals, bead blasting can remove significant plastic VERY quickly.

Often an acceptable substitute for bead blasting is to use a paste of Barkeeper's Friend or Comet cleansing powder.

Make up a paste of powder and water, then "scrub" the plastic with a clean toothbrush to give the plastic a matte finish.

This can also be used to blend and flatten stainless steel after scratch removal with Scotchbrite pads.

If they are police turn-ins, I would expect them to sell for between 250 and 350 bucks depending on the condition of the finish.

As for loadings, either the U.S. M193 55 grain or the current NATO 62 grain, steel core will do (U.S. SS109). Preference goes to the 62 grain AR15 NATO round if it can be found. I owned a PO PXT SSP.

I put 5 or 600 rounds down the pipe. The SA trigger was alright, but a little mushy with a bit of overtravel.

Reasonably accurate with no malfunctions (considering all their models use a ramped barrel, I expected Para Ordnance).

Here's where Para Ordnance and I part ways...

Upon field stripping the pistol, I noticed "pockmarks" on the interior of the slide. Not just one or two and they weren't isolated. The entire underside of the slide had these casting voids that varied in size.

I knew the pistol utilized a cast frame and sldie when I bought it. After my discovery, I detail stripped the frame and found evidence of the same (so it wasn't an issue with only the slide mold) although to a lesser degree.

I have allways heard how the lugers were replaced because they were just too hand fitted and over designed too many parts.ect.

Well it is a big known fact that the P-38 took there place,and it has 50 pieces including the Mag and only one screw(the grip screw).

The Luger has 40 pieces including (two screws grip screws) when you take apart the luger you will spend hours looking for the hammer,and wonder how the hell does the trigger make this dude Luger fire!

Then when it all comes to you it hits you like a bolt out of the blue,sheer perfection!

It wasn't about War production this pistol was made in 1900,it is and was a very great auto pistol!

It may not be a good war pistol,but it damn sure is a great pistol!

One must remember that many of the pistols were made in commercial grades(when no other autos were offered)and many Americans owened them.

Mine is such a 1920's model(7.65)probably owened by a rancher,dentist,or such!

My other German Gun is a P-38 non import German ruger p 85,not near as tight but you know this gun is nasty(may have been used p89 ruger us)!

But the Walther is no way a better made gun than the Luger!

It is my first Luger and God knows I wish I had never bought one,cause now I see a lot of Lugers in the ruger p 90 !

Visions of owning a Beretta 92f have been playing in my brain since last friday when I saw one on consignment at one of the local fun 380 colt mustang . I only had time to take a quick look at it, because it was almost closing time. The Beretta 92 or M9 has been on my "To Buy List" for a while.

At $575 it was okay price for my area, plus it had Crimson Trace grips. So all week I've been trying to figure out a way to fit it into my gun buget. Because I had a Marlin 336 and a Norinco 97 on layaway there and a S&W 4006 on layaway at another Colt 1908 grip. Well I came up with a bit of extra cash so it'd fit the buget, so I head up there today and ask the gal to see it, good thing, in the better light of day (when I was there last, at night, the shop is really dark ) I noticed it had pretty good holster wear, so I asked if the owner was a LEO, the gal said yes, but only a reserve. The more I looked the stranger the wear patterns Beretta 92 fs . Worse yet the thing was caked in p93 ruger in every nook and cranny. I did a quick strip down and the p93 ruger was dirty. The more I saw the less I liked.

I hand it back and start to look for a Ruger Blackhawk in .357mag they had NIB, gone.

Then I notice a S&W model 59, chromed and the grip feels wrong.

Then next to the 59, under the phone on the counter, I see a nice Colt 1908 grip
