I only had time to take a quick look at it, because it was almost closing time. The Beretta 92 or M9 has been on my "To Buy List" for a while. At $575 it was okay price for my area, plus it had Crimson Trace grips. So all week I've been trying to figure out a way to fit it into my gun buget. Because I had a Marlin 336 and a Norinco 97 on layaway there and a S&W 4006 on layaway at another Colt 1908 grip. Well I came up with a bit of extra cash so it'd fit the buget, so I head up there today and ask the gal to see it, good thing, in the better light of day (when I was there last, at night, the shop is really dark ) I noticed it had pretty good holster wear, so I asked if the owner was a LEO, the gal said yes, but only a reserve. The more I looked the stranger the wear patterns Beretta 92 fs . Worse yet the thing was caked in p93 ruger in every nook and cranny. I did a quick strip down and the p93 ruger was dirty. The more I saw the less I liked. I hand it back and start to look for a Ruger Blackhawk in .357mag they had NIB, gone. Then I notice a S&W model 59, chromed and the grip feels wrong. I always try to be fair in my dealing. I understand FN is no longer going to import the Hi Power; take that for what it's worth in the effect on values.   Well I think I lost it. I offered to buy a 1911 colt 45 automatic pistol sight unseen the other day. The price seemed right so what the hell. Well the gentleman showed up with it and I bought it. I have to say I'm not a fan of nickle plating but it's growing on me. I can't figure out the barrel set up. The barrel sticks out the front a half inch? It looks like a bull barrel with no bushing. It came with the neutered 10 rd mags but was in the box and looks like it's had less than a box of shells fired through it. I've never owned a P95 before but have had two ruger single six (which I liked but traded off). I still have some of the P89 15 rd mags and they fit well in the P95. It's been a while since I've dealt with Ruger semiautos and it may be a week or so before I shoot it. Is the P95 as good, better, or worse than the P89s? The innovative features of the AR-10 would eventually be developed into the U.S. Army's M16 rifle. While mostly original, the AR-10 built upon previously proven designs. From the FAL it took the hinged receiver system allowing the rifle to be opened for cleaning much like a break-action shotgun. The bolt locking mechanism is similar to the Johnson M1941 Rifle (itself an adaptation of the Browning designed Remington model 8 bolt). From the German FG42 and Johnson Light Machinegun came the idea of straight-line stocks to reduce muzzle climb in fully-automatic fire.
